Kathy McLean’s career in executive search started in 2000,
and she has been a Principal in Penrhyn International since
joining Fish & Nankivell Ogilvie Watson in Melbourne in
early 2004. Much of Kathy’s practice is in the public and
not-for-profit sectors, in which she has served leading
state and national organisations in Australia.
Kathy has a Bachelor’s degree in English with Honours from
Monash University, Diplomas in Education and in Information
Studies from Melbourne University, and an MBA from Melbourne
Business School. She speaks German.
Kathy taught in Germany and was Head of English in secondary
schools in Germany and in Australia before becoming
co-leader of the National English Curriculum and Assessment
Project in Australia, and Director, National Benchmarks
Project, with Curriculum Corporation. Kathy has chaired
various committees of the Victoria Association for the
Teaching of English, and is a member of the Board of the
Victorian Institute of Sport as well as of various
committees of the Royal Yacht Club of Victoria.
